    Chas is the CEO of Grove. As CEO, Chas is actively involved in managing the day-to-day operations of Grove’s acquisitions and serves as the CEO of Xepco. Chas has held a variety of leadership, operations, and finance roles at small and medium sized business and is passionate about entrepreneurship and talent development. He has also worked as an investor covering the real estate services and technology sectors at Franklin Templeton ($1.5T AUM) and Dodge & Cox ($400B AUM). 

    Chas earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an Honors BS, summa cum laude, in Finance from the University of Utah. Chas grew up in a family of small business owners in Salt Lake City, UT, and lives in Rancho Mirage, CA.

    Jay is a Co-Founder of The Nashton Company. Previously, Jay served as the Co-CEO of Vector Disease Acquisition, a holding company that provides vector-borne disease prevention programs and lake management services.  Under Jay’s leadership, the company made 14 acquisitions and grew at a CAGR of 43%.  Vector Disease Acquisition was acquired by Rentokil Initial (FTSE: RTO) in November of 2017.  

    Jay is an Executive in Residence at The Havard Business School, where he teaches a course on Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition.  Jay obtained a Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Economics.  Jay and his wife Susan have three boys and live in Nashville, TN.

    Jason is a Senior Lecturer at The Harvard Business School, where he teaches a course on Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition.  Jason obtained a Master in Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and a BBA in finance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  Jason and his wife Danielle have four children and live in Longmeadow, MA.

    Caroline joined Nashton after graduating from Harvard Business School. Prior to business school, Caroline spent five years at Credit Suisse in New York.  At Credit Suisse, she was a member of the Multi-Industry and Aerospace & Defense Equity Research teams. She started her career in Equity Sales covering Institutional Investors in the New York and Mid-Atlantic regions.  

    Caroline obtained an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and a BA with Honors from Swarthmore College in Mathematics and Economics. Caroline lives outside of Philadelphia, PA with her husband, Bobby and their two sons. 

  • Bret Morriss

    In addition to his role at Grove, Bret serves as the Managing Partner of CAST Capital’s Brokerage and Services platforms where he manages all investments, commercial services, and brokerage/advisory teams, which are responsible for the investment sales, capital markets, and leasing activities of the firm.

    Before founding CAST, Bret was the founding Managing Director of the San Diego office for Stream Realty Partners, a more than 1000-employee company with 15 offices nationally focused on office and industrial leasing, management, development, and redevelopment.  At Stream, Bret spent 5 years growing and leading a team producing over $1 million annually in fees.  He has personally executed over 300 leasing and sales transactions representing landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers of commercial real estate properties.

    Prior to Stream, Bret was responsible for the underwriting, due diligence, and closing of more than $2 billion of commercial real estate assets in the Investment Banking group at Goldman Sachs in New York City and Investment Sales at Cushman Wakefield in Washington DC, concentrating on office sales, valuation, capital structure, marketing, and relationship building.

    Bret is also a pilot and Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and has led more than 250 combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. He served as a pilot for Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1), responsible for the transportation of the President and Vice President of the United States, cabinet members, and other dignitaries.
